On the 2025 Ballot:
Virginia Governor, Lt. Governor, Attorney General, State Delegate

Waynesboro residents, there are two easy ways to vote between now and Election Day, Nov 4th.

  • Vote early in person

    At the Waynesboro Voter Registration Office, 501 West Broad Street
    through Oct 31st Mon-Fri 9am-1pm, 2pm–5pm
    Saturdays, Oct 25th and Nov 1st 9am-1pm, 2pm–5pm

  • Vote early by mail

    Request a mail-in absentee ballot by Oct 25th at the Dept of Elections site. When the ballot arrives, complete it, sign the envelope, and return via US Mail or ballot collection box. (At this site you can also update your address, request permanent absentee voting, find your polling place, and check your voting history.)

Last day to register to vote: October 24th (You can still vote on Election Day if you miss the deadline via same-day registration and provisional ballot. Bring a photo ID if you have one. If you don’t, you can sign a confirmation statement.)

Register to Vote

You can obtain a voter registration application online, at the registrar’s office, at the DMV, public library, and other municipal offices.

Virginia Dept of Elections Citizen Portal

Virginians can register to vote, check registration status, access their voter record, apply to vote by mail (absentee), check absentee ballot status, confirm polling location, and more via this portal.

Voting Rights Restoration

Virginians who have been convicted of a felony and are no longer incarcerated are eligible to apply to have their voting rights restored. You can check your status online, call the Secretary of the Commonwealth Restoration of Rights Division at 804-692-0104, or submit a paper application.

Vote by Mail (Vote Absentee)

You can apply online to vote by mail in one election or to be added to the permanent absentee list so that you will automatically receive a mail-in ballot for all future elections. (You can also apply with this paper form and submit that to the registrar.)
